Most Asked Questions About Eyebrow Microblading

We answer them all here if you keep reading.

If you’re someone who’s spent your entire post-pubescent life perfecting your eyebrows, and perhaps has even sought the most excellent brow aesthetician in the metro, you can now end your quest for Cara Delevingne or Lily Collins (whoever your prefer) arches with microblading—or not.

Are you ready? Keep reading!

  • Does it hurt?

Yes, It does hurt. But it’s tolerable. It’s like threading [your brows]—something like that. If you’ve done Facials, Brazilian wax, this would be an easy, breezy treatment. Of course, we also consider the pain tolerance of each client because that’s relative. We ask them what their freak zone would be and then we adjust the treatment a little bit for them. There are also other conditions like if you’re nearing your menstruation; the level of pain tolerance is affected.

  • How long will it last?

Generally, it lasts for 2 years. But then, of course, it’s all dependent on the lifestyle of the person. The sun will always be a culprit to any type of fading. The lifestyle, body regeneration, your age, the skin regimen, what you take, the vitamins you take, the supplements you take, the products that you put on the skin can all affect how long before the treatment fades.

  • How long does the procedure take?

On average, two hours.

  • How long is the recovery or healing time?

Around one week. Post-treatment care is given and should be strictly followed for best results. We also make sure to tell our clients that the actual, final result of the procedure is visible only after four weeks. There’s scabbing, retouch, etc. in between.

  • What do the eyebrows look like immediately after the procedure? Is there a downtime?

No downtime because we just mimic the natural growth and color of the hair. It’s not a huge change but it’s more like a transformation. People would not look at you and say in shock, “What happened to you?” You will just look polished.

  • Is touch-up necessary?

Touch-up is usually necessary and for us, it’s important because, during the cycle, there’s a lot of circumstances that the artist cannot control. One will be the client’s after-care follow up. We prescribe an after-care that the client should strictly follow to avoid infections and achieve the best results. So in essence, the result is 50 percent the actual microblading procedure done by the artist and 50 percent after-care done by the client.

  • How do you choose the shape?

A shape is determined by the facial landscape of the person. So there are points like the ocular bone. We utilize the T-compass, which is the tool for getting the golden ratio of your brows. For the golden ratio, we measure the sclera of the eye, which determines how far the brows are apart. Each face is determined by your own set of bone structure. So we recommend the ideal shape or the classic shape based on these. We want your eyebrows to be timeless. So, it’s very important to discuss with our clients how their brows should look like based on what would complement their other facial features like eyes, nose, and lips best.

  • How do you choose the color of the pigment?

The color of the pigment is determined by your skin color, natural color of your hair, and also the color of your eyes. There are people who are very, very fair but their eyes are dark so they have a certain color that fits them. And there are also people who are very fair with light eyes. There are certain colors for them, as well. It’s really what suits your face and the colors that naturally occur in your body that would determine the color of your brows.

  • How should one prepare for the treatment?

To help the skin prepare for the treatment, I usually ask my clients to refrain from using toners two months before the procedure. No Botox at least two weeks before and two weeks after. All types of facial procedures like facials, peeling, etc. should also be avoided within two weeks leading to the procedure and should be safe to do two weeks after the procedure.

  • Who is not suitable for the procedure?

People who have diabetes because the healing time might not be determined. For pregnant women and for nursing women, it’s not about safety. It’s more about guaranteeing how the results will be and how happy they will be with the brows after. Because of the erratic hormonal changes that occur in the body, the pigments might not stick to the skin.

  • Are there risks and complications?

As long as you follow all the post-treatment care, there shouldn’t be a problem. Of course, the reason why we also have the consultation is to screen and determine and get a feel of what the client’s lifestyle is—if the treatment is suited for her. There’s not a lot of risks really, not even allergies. This is actually a very superficial treatment.

What Is Eyebrow Microblading?

Many of us will be familiar with the everyday morning drudgery of drawing the perfect brows. Eyebrows can transform one’s face and are thus arguably one of our most important facial features. Yet, not everyone is blessed with thick and nicely shaped brows. Most of us often spend a lot of time filling in our brows every morning and even so, it is not unusual for many to end up with less-than-ideal-looking brows. Fortunately, eyebrow microblading is now a viable alternative to this drill.

Eyebrow microblading, also known as eyebrow embroidery, is a relatively new beauty procedure where eyebrows are tattooed onto the face by a trained beauty therapist. This method achieves a semi-permanent and natural-looking result as opposed to the stale-looking eyebrows that eyebrow tattooing often creates. Eyebrow microblading is perfect for anyone who wants to fully recreate, define, re-define, conceal gaps, or fill-in overly plucked brows.

Microblading: The procedure

Numbing cream is first applied to the eyebrows and the skin surrounding to minimize discomfort and pain. The beauty therapist will also map out a set of brows that suits you prior to microblading. A very fine blade is then used to make small, superficial cuts in your skin in and along the brows, where pigments are then deposited into. The cuts resemble actual strands of hair, thus giving your brows a fuller and natural-looking appearance.

The entire procedure takes approximately 2 hours to complete. You can expect to experience slight pain or discomfort during the procedure – some may feel it more than others. The pain is generally bearable since numbing cream has already been applied to the area.

Results and Aftercare

While microblading is a safe procedure when done by a trained therapist.

It is also normal for the brows to look dark in the beginning. After 1 – 2 weeks, however, the pigment will fade and become more natural-looking as the wound heals. The results may also vary for different people. For instance, the color pigments may fade more for some, depending on one’s skin condition and metabolism rate.

After the procedure, while you should still shower, try not to wet your brows and do apply aftercare cream for 5 – 7 days. This is to protect the pigment and keep the area clean. Your eyebrows will itch and form scabs, but you should refrain from picking them. While the healing process may differ for everyone, touch-up sessions are often recommended 40 days after the first appointment.

Your new brows are likely to last you a good 2 – 3 years after healing. Considering this, while eyebrow microblading may be costly, it is certainly a worthy investment for those who want to wake up to wow brows.

Getting Perfect Eyebrows

Your eyes are the important assets you have. Taking care of these is as much important as much you can. It is equally important to make your eyes and face beautiful in such a manner so that when some person makes eye contact with you, he/she must say; Wow! What are the eyes? This would be possible only if you will do something to make your face expressive and appealing.

To making yourself beautiful and appealing ‘Getting Perfect Eyebrows’ is of much importance. So definitely, now you will be interested in knowing that how to get perfect eyebrows. Here are few tips to done your eyebrows and making them perfect.

1. Include an eyebrow brush to your makeup case. An eyebrow brush will keep your brows in shape. You also can use small amount of gel to cajole them.
2. Do not pluck your brows too much. Your browser takes about 8 weeks or more to grow back.
3. If you feel the need of using an eyebrow pencil, use it but apply very light stroke, while filling your brows. You also can use eye shadow instead of pencil.
4. Thinner eyebrows will make your eyebrows good looking and appealing, use color in the center of brows only. If you have a little bigger brows, then do coloring thoroughly.
5. Brush your eyebrows using small amount of gel. This will keep your eyebrows in place and gives them the natural color.
6. Color mascara will be great on your eyebrows.
7. If you have big brows, make them tidy. You can remove extra hairs between the brows and beneath. Now fill your eyebrows as told above.
8. Well-done brows will make your face simply cute and will add something extra in you.
9. Do maintain your eyebrows on a regular basis, say, once in a week or fortnight.
10. If you have little longer brow hairs, trim using manicure scissors.
11. Pluck your brows after taking shower. This will make your task easy, and it is less painful.
12. Take precaution while plucking, so that holes will not appear on your eyebrows after plucking.

Rule of Thumb For Perfect Eyebrows

Fragile brows are for the person who has fragile features. If you have a sporty body then keep your eyebrows less manicured and thicker. This will look more natural on you.

Small Eyes

If you have small eyes, do not use any extra color at all. This will make your eyes even smaller. Shape your brows well.

Waxing Brows

Waxing makes hairs trapped below the skin surface. If you do waxing of your brows, do it, but do a cleansing of your brow area with a toner just after the waxing.

Tinting and Tattooing

Tinting of brows is very common among women especially blonde. If you are the one, never tint your brows with black, indeed; choose the combination of one or two shades darker than your hair. Preferably choose brown shades for tinting your eyebrows. If you want to tattoo your eyebrows, check for credentials of it. Sometime tattooing your brows by yourself makes these worse. If you need someone to tinting and tattooing your brows you can book online or message us on Facebook.

How to Find the Perfect Beauty School to Attend

How to Find the Perfect Beauty School to Attend

Are you interested in perusing a career that is focused on fashion and beauty?

If you are, you have a number of different career opportunities and jobs to choose from. For instance, you can run your own fashion consultation business, run your own beauty salon, Microblading, Fibroblasting, Eyelash Extension or even a beauty supply store. Although having your own business is nice, you can also work as a beauty supply store worker or be an employee at a beauty salon.

As you can see, you have a number of different jobs and career opportunities to choose from. The only thing that you need to remember is that it is sometimes difficult to get a job or run a successful business that is focused on beauty and fashion. Although it is more than possible to do so, you need to examine the competition. As beauty and fashion increase in popularity, more individuals want to work in that field. What you want to do is set yourself apart from everyone else. To do this, you may want to think about receiving the proper amount of education and training.

When it comes to receiving beauty education and training, you will find that you have a number of different options. For instance, there are two and four-year colleges and universities that you can attend. These colleges and universities give you a college degree, one that is often for cosmetology. In addition to attending an accredited college or university, you can also attend a traditional beauty school. Beauty schools are often run by experts in the field and they are often more affordable to attend. While you may not necessarily receive a college degree for attending a beauty school, you should be able to walk away with a certificate of completion.

If you do decide that you would like to attend a college, university, or beauty school, to get the proper amount of beauty training, there are a number of important factors that you may want to take into consideration. One of those factors is the cost of doing so. Beauty schools can be fairly expensive to attend, especially if those schools are considered accredited colleges and universities. Yes, you may be able to financial aid, in the form of student loans, scholarships, and grants, but there are no guarantees. Before going broke trying to attend beauty school, you may want to make sure that it is a career that you are serious about. Also, if you are willing to relocate, it may be easier for you to find a more affordable beauty school or college to attend.

Reputation is also something that you should think about when looking to find a beauty school to attend. In all honesty, most colleges and universities have outstanding records; therefore, you may be making a good choice with attending one, even really anyone. As for a beauty school that isn’t necessarily considered a college or university, you will want to be careful when making your choice. Some beauty schools come highly rated and recommended, but there are others that some employers are actually encouraged to stay away from. To ensure that your beauty training and education is well worth it, will help you get a job or help you start a successful business, you will want to make sure that you choose a beauty school that has an outstanding reputation.

The above-mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may want to take into consideration when choosing a beauty school to attend. If you are interested in researching beauty schools, colleges, and universities on your own, you may want to think about turning to the internet. With a standard internet search, with a phrase like “beauty schools,” you should be able to find the online websites of numerous beauty schools, as well as colleges and universities that have cosmetology programs. If you are still in high school, you may want to think about approaching your guidance counselor for assistance.

If you want to attend Microblading Courses, Fibroblasting Courses or Eyelashes Extension, Choose Flash Your Style.

How To Look Beautiful All The Time

How To Look Beautiful All The Time

Everyone has a different definition of beauty,

but most would agree that feeling attractive is one of the best ways to increase self-esteem. If you feel beautiful and confident, it will show and be truly infectious.

Let your inner beauty come out by reading the tips in this blog!

A great tip to use when tweezing your eyebrows is to use restraint. Over plucking the brows can lead to bald patches and emaciated brows where hair only grows back irregularly. If this has happened, use a brow gel which is protein-spiked to encourage healthy regrowth and brow fillers that can shade in areas that are problems.

You have curled your hair with a curling iron, but have you ever thought about using heat on your eyelashes? No, don’t use a curling iron on your eyelashes because that is just too dangerous, but heat up your eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a few seconds, so your eyelashes will curl more easily.

Giving your face a steam bath can improve your complexion. Hold your face over a hot water bath, using a towel to seal in the heat. After steaming, you should give yourself a cold water rinse to close the pores. Use a moisturizer afterward to prevent this treatment from drying out your face.

If you have ever gotten that perfect hairstyle and decided to use hairspray to keep it that way, you have undoubtedly gotten that helmet look. A way to combat this is to spray the hairspray onto the brush and run it through the hair from the roots to the tips. This will result in a hold with volume and shine, and without the plastered look.

Make sure that your blush and your lip color are in harmony. If you are using blush, it is important to make sure that it matches the color you are using for your lips. Pink should be with pink, red with red, etc. If the colors vary too greatly from one another, they will clash terribly.

Exfoliate your face and neck at least 2 times a week. Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and bring new skin cells to the surface. This will make you look healthy and refreshed when you do this, but you should avoid doing it too much because it can irritate your face.

To help you pluck your eyebrows, you want to hold the tweezers in a vertical position against the side of your nose. You then move the tweezers along your eyebrows, and you will see very easily where your arch should start and stop. This will ensure that you stay with the natural shape of your eyebrows.

Give your skin a hint of color and shimmer by mixing a touch of bronzer with your favorite body lotion. This is a great way to highlight your arms, legs, chest and other areas for holiday parties or other events without throwing away time, money, and your skin’s health in a tanning bed.

You don’t have to be a supermodel or a makeup artist to look and feel beautiful.

Ultimately, if you feel good about yourself, it will show and that’s the most beautiful thing you can do. Just remember the tips in this article and you’ll be on your way to feeling confident and beautiful.

The Essential Eyebrow Guide & Everything You Need to Know About Microblading (Part 4)

Semi-permanent Brow Solutions

Tinting

Tinting is great if your eyebrows are fair, need a boost, or if you just want to cut down on your get-ready time.

This is a service which involves applying a semi-permanent dye to your brows to add thickness, shading, and definition.

It’s also definitely the way to go if you change your hair color and want your brows to match.

shutterstock_90206206

This isn’t an end-all eyebrow solution.

There is some upkeep, as the color fades after about four weeks.

And, you might still have to supplement tinting with makeup in some spots.

I wouldn’t recommend attempting a tint job on your own.

Leave this technique to the professionals!

Most specialists use a vegetable-based dye on eyebrows rather than a regular hair dye.

They’re also experienced at color matching, so they’ll make sure your eyebrows look more natural and less Mommy Dearest.

Microblading

If your eyebrows are thin or nonexistent, a few years ago tattooing might have been your only hope for creating brows without drawing them on every day.

Today, the trending technique is Microblading, AKA “eyebrow embroidery”, for natural-looking, semi-permanent arches.

It’s a great option to reconstruct missing brows or fill in/reshape existing ones.

In this process, a specialist uses a small tool equipped with tiny blades or needles which are dipped into pigment and then deposited into the top layers of skin in strokes.

The result looks like realistic individual hairs and appears more natural than the filled in look of traditional tattooed makeup.

Celebrities are jumping on this trend too.

Actress, Bella Thorne recently Snapchatted her microblading process and posted the awesome results on Instagram.

bellathorne

The whole procedure takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

A specialist will pre-draw on your eyebrows with a pencil until you both agree on a shape.

And, though a numbing gel is applied before, it’s not a completely painless process.

Most reviewers put the pain level on par with a threading or tweezing job, but say it’s worth it for the incredible results!

You might be instructed to avoid getting your new brows wet for anywhere from a couple days to a week afterward, and to apply a healing ointment regularly.

Microblading artists warn clients not to freak out if their brows appear darker right after the procedure.

Color usually fades over two weeks to a more natural shade.

It’s also a two-step process.

You’ll have to go back for touch ups after 4-6 weeks to fill in spots and make adjustments.

This is a great time to address any concerns or point out spots you’d like fixed with your specialist.

Downsides?

It’s not permanent, lasting an average of 1-3 years, and can be on the pricey side but not on our salon.

However, the results are pretty impressive, and they really alleviate that no-one-sees-me-without-my-brows anxiety.

The Essential Eyebrow Guide & Everything You Need to Know About Microblading (Part 3)

Fill Them In

But how to draw eyebrows, you ask?

Let’s find out!

Full eyebrows not only frame your eyes, but they also add a bit of youth to your overall look.

Start by using a pencil to define the bottom line of your eyebrows and lengthen the outer ends.

Next, use an angled brush and some brow powder to fill in sparse areas.

Finally, brush brows with a spooly brush to soften and blend color.

Brow-Shaping-Tips

To add definition and brightness, use a small brush to outline brows with a bit of concealer and blend outward.

You can also brush a little highlighter on your brow bone to lighten up eyes.

Keep Them In Place

Let’s avoid that moment when you look in the mirror only to realize your eyebrows disappeared at the first sign of sweat.

Finish up your brows by setting them in place with a brow wax or gel.

You can also go over them with a light dusting of translucent setting powder.

If you really need some budge-proof assurance, go with an eyebrow sealer to put those ladies on lockdown for all day wear.

You’re good to go!

Is it possible to grow back my eyebrows?

If you’ve gone tweezer crazy, are trying to recoup your losses from the thin-brow trend, or just want fuller-looking eyebrows, there is hope.

The first step is to stop tweezing and start regrowing hairs.

Some will never grow back due to dead hair follicles.

But, it also takes a cycle of 28 days for the hair to regenerate, so be patient while you wait for each of those little hairs to spring up.

You can also try a growth serum which includes peptides and biotin to enhance eyebrows by encouraging hair growth and thickening hairs.

THE EYEBROW GUIDE & EVERYTHING ABOUT MICROBLADING PART 2

Build Perfect Arches

Ladies, we’re hardly pioneers when it comes to the quest for perfect brows.

Dating back to as early as 3500 B.C., ancient Egyptians used carbon to draw on and define their brows.

Have you seen Cleopatra?

Eyebrow game on point!

Luckily, today’s methods for achieving bold, beautiful brows are more doable than ever!

Shape Them

Shaping up your eyebrows is easier than you think.

You can seek the help of a professional, or you can do it at home with these easy steps.

Step 1: Find Your Starting Point

Grab a makeup brush (or chopstick, Tweezers, etc.) and hold it vertically next to the outer edge of your nostril so it makes a straight line up to your eyebrow.

Wherever it lands is your starting point.

Use a makeup pencil to mark that spot on both eyebrows and tweeze anything in between in the unibrow zone above the bridge of your nose.

starting point

Step 2: Find Your Arch

Look straight ahead in a mirror.

Hold your brush so it goes from the corner of your nose and makes a line through the center of your iris up to your brow bone.

This is the peak of your arch.

Mark this point and taper the outer end of your eyebrow so it’s slightly thinner.

arch

Step 3: Find Your End Point

Finally, hold your brush at an angle so it creates a straight line from your nose to the outer corner of your eye.

This is the spot where your eyebrow should end and/or where your pencil line will stop when filling in your brows.

end

Pro Tip:

This might go without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway: don’t over-tweeze!

It can be really tempting to go pluck-crazy and wind up with bare spots or brows that are too thin.

Remove a couple hairs at a time and stand back to assess your work.

If you’re attempting to even out your brows to make them match, the answer might be makeup rather than tweezing.

When it comes to grooming, we have a few options:

Tweezing

“Ladies tweeze, plucking is for chickens.”

We’ve been well acquainted with this method of pulling out individual hairs since the first time we grabbed a pair of Tweezers embarked on a journey of eye-watering brow-shaping.

Pros: Great for quick, regular maintenance. It’s also inexpensive and doesn’t require a trip to the salon.

Cons: Can cause skin irritation and ingrown hairs. It may not last as long as other hair removal methods. And, you run the risk of over-tweezing resulting in too-skinny brows or hair that never grows back.

Waxing

We’re probably all familiar with this process in which heated wax is applied to the area of unwanted hair and then quickly removed to pull hairs out at the root.

Although at-home waxing kits are available, I’d strongly recommend you seek out an expert so you don’t risk burns or removing skin.

Pros: Temporarily removes hair for anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, and many people report smoother skin and fewer ingrown hairs as a result.

Cons: It hurts (obviously). It can cause skin irritation, redness and, in some cases, residual or permanent hyperpigmentation. It also requires some growth to be effective, so keep that in mind if you don’t want walk around with unkempt brows leading up to your wax sesh.

Threading

This is an ancient practice that originated in India or Central Asia (depending on who you ask).

In this technique, a practitioner uses a twisted piece of thread to pull unwanted hair from the follicle.

Pros: It’s gentler on skin than waxing and allows for more precision and definition, especially for shaping brows.

Cons: I’m not gonna lie, it hurts. And it takes a little longer, so it’s not one quick pain like waxing. It can also cause some redness and skin irritation, so you may want to avoid getting threaded just before you go out.
